Making Model Aircraft by Bryan Philpott. Books on model building are a great way to learn new techniques and improve your skills. There are lots of books on this subject. Check your local hobby shop or online.

Micro-Scale Products offers Micro Set and Micro Sol for applying your decals. I use Set and Sol for decals made Micro-Scale, Aeromaster and Scale-Master.

I use Solvaset for really tough decals like those made by Sky Models or Techmod. This decal setting solution is particularly strong and you should handle it with care lest you distort your decals.

Gunze-Sangyo's Mr. Mark Softer is a medium strength decal set and works well on decals from Hasegawa and Tamiya.
