Hawker Hurricane Mk.I |
|
The Hawker Hurricane was one of the most widely used multi-purpose aircraft in WWII. It began its carreer as a fighter and made a name for itself in the Battle of France and the Battle of Britain in 1940. Many Hurricanes were exported to foreign countries such as Finland. The model depicted here is of a Finnish Air Force Hurricane as it was originally delivered. It features an RAF style camoflage of Dark Earth and Dark Green. Later it was repainted in standard Finnish Air Force camoflage of Black and Green. I built these Hurricanes from Airfix 1:72 scale kits. The decals came from AvUsk. |
