DFS-230 |
|
The DFS-230 was a German assault glider used during WWII. Its most famous actions were the capture of the Belgian Fortress Eben Emael in 1940 and the invasion of the island of Crete in 1941. The DFS-230 was usually towed into the air by a Junkers Ju-52 tri-motor, however, other aircraft such as the Bf-110 and Hs-126 also were used as tugs. I built this DFS-230 from a HUMA 1:72 scale kit. The model was finished with paints from Gunze-Sangyo, Floquil and Tamiya. The decals came from various Micro Scale sheets and the kit. |
